Last Wednesday of every month from 5:00 to 7:00pm at Spitfire in Belltown 

 The monthly Happy Hour is a meet up for leaders in film, music and interactive industries to share, learn and make meaningful business connections. 

 The Happy Hour averages an attendance of upwards to 200 people each month. In addition to bringing people together, each month we host a special 30 minute presentation from guest speakers who give unique insight into the creative and technological innovations directly affecting your industry. The special presentation will begin at 6:30pm in the private black box theater in Spitfire. The presentation will also be broadcast on all the monitors inside the venue and available for review on our video archive page at www.fmihappyhour.com. 

 Join us in the converging world of original music, independent films, interactive platforms and emerging technologies! 

  This event is open to the public. You must be 21 + to attend.

Youth and Family entrants are invited to join us on the evening of Friday, May 11th for a special (Free) reception recognizing History Is___ entrants of 17 years and younger. We'll have cupcakes and refreshments, a DJ, and then screen the youth winners of this year's competition. 

Then dust of your cocktail dress and cummerbund for the Awards Ceremony and celebration on Saturday night, May 12th, which will recognize the winners of the 2012 History Is___ film competition. You'll also get a sneak peek at SIFF's 2012 NW Connections films, and meet the talented local artists who put these films together. For tickets, click here.

We can't wait to see all the amazing films that have been created this year for the History Is__ film competition, and we'll be excited to share all submitted films with you, your friends, family, neighbors, and strangers for  on-line voting for the Viewer's Choice Award (Viewer's Choice Award winner will get $1,000 and invites to exclusive events, memberships to local  museum and film nonprofits, plus lots and lots of public exposure for your film). 

In the meantime, get inspired by watching one of last year's winning films, or drop by this Wednesday's Happy Hour, hosted by the Office of Film + Music, to see what other local filmmakers are up to.
