Celluloid Seattle
Location: MOHAI at Lake Union Park
This exhibit will open at MOHAI's new home in Lake Union Park in 2012. It will explore how Seattle has been depicted and used as a location in films throughout the years. From Tugboat Annie in the 1930s to the gritty 70s in McQ to the romantic hit Sleepless in Seattle that generated countless houseboat fantasies, Seattle has a rich history in film. Local film critic Robert Horton serves as guest curator showing us the best, the worst and the myriad ways the world has viewed Seattle on “celluloid”.
