Support MOHAI
Your Support Makes A Difference
MOHAI brings history to life for the thousands of visitors who come through our doors each year, connecting people to their past and to our future as a community. The depth and richness of our work could not happen without the generosity of the individuals, corporations, and foundations that support us. Whether you join as a member, make a gift to the Annual Fund, attend an upcoming event, develop a partnership, or volunteer, MOHAI deeply appreciates your support in our journey of historical discovery.
Become a Member
MOHAI members are the foundation for everything we do. Your membership gift helps to sustain and strengthen all of our core activities, including exhibits, collections, educational programs and museum operations. Learn more about the many benefits of membership or join now.

Heritage Circles donors are the dedicated donors whose vital leadership and commitment through their unresestricted support is essential for the museum’s success. Heritage Circles donors receive special benefits that provide unique and exciting opportunities to engage more fully with the museum, our artifacts, exhibits and programs. Join now or contact us for more information by email at heritagecircles@seattlehistory.org or phone (206) 324-1126 Ext. 58.
Annual Fund
Did you know that memberships represent only 3% of the museum’s total operating costs? Contributions to our Annual Fund enable our Executive Director to direct funds where they are needed most. Gifts of any size are welcome and tax deductible. Make your gift online or find out more information about other ways to make your gift today.
History is Moving
Beginning in 2012, MOHAI will be at its new home in Lake Union Park. A history museum unlike any other, the new MOHAI will invite visitors to experience the past, the present and the future. Learn more about the project and how you can join us.
Planned Giving
One way to leave a legacy for future generations is to make a planned or deferred gift to MOHAI. Planned gifts not only help secure the future of the museum, but they can provide substantial tax savings. The most common type of planned gift is a bequest made as part of estate planning. Bequests can benefit any facet of the museum’s work, from the annual fund to collections to the permanent endowment. Other options may include an IRA rollover, charitable gift annuity or charitable remainder trust. Please contact Elaine Èthier in the Advancement Department at (206) 324-1126 Ext. 14 for further information.
MOHAI is pleased to recognize our friends who have made a planned gift through the 1914 Society. Anyone who notifies MOHAI that the Museum is named as the beneficiary of a bequest or planned gift is automatically enrolled as a member of the society.
Attend an Event
MOHAI presents a variety of special events for our members and donors. From lectures and tours to VIP opening previews, our activities are designed to offer you a multi dimensional experience and bring you closer to the mission and work of MOHAI.
MOHAI has two major fundraising events each year, the Innovation Luncheonand History Makers. To learn more, or to get involved, contact Sarah Egan at (206) 324-1126 Ext. 56.
